30 YEARS Konrad Braun
30 YEARS is an Independet Videoproject by Konrad Braun.
I came up with the idea of 30 YEARS after I discovered a google maps tool with which you can view old images from google maps. This gave me the idea of using satellite images to show the change of our earth. I have a penchant for graphic textures and structures anyway and find that maps and satellite images have a special aesthetic. Due to the growing population and the influence of humans on the environment, the effects are immense and frightening. The video is also a message and a pointer to the fact that we humans are slowly but surely destroying ourselves.
The video was created as part of my application to the "Die Graphische Wien"
